Children's Portraits
What will the photo shoot be like?
For family photography I will usually come to your home or we can shoot at a great location. For these shoots I use natural light wherever possible.
Babies, toddlers and children come in all shapes and sizes and in all moods!! For this reason I don't believe in rushing a shoot.
Firstly, I aim to make sure we all have fun, I work in such a way as to make your session as relaxed as possible.
Sessions with babies are not restricted to set times as I have found it better if we just 'go with the flow'.
For older children it's all about getting to know them first through fun and play. I want the best possible images and these are produced when children are relaxed, comfortable and happy. Play produces perfect photos!
What should babies, toddlers and children wear?
From experience babies photograph best in a plain one piece or better still naked, but it is up to you. I would steer away from logos as we want to focus on your newborns unique beauty, not the latest in fashion.
Again with children think about keeping simple. A little cotton dress or white tee shirt and jeans with bare feet look great. Again try and stay away from the logo.
