First a huge Congratulations guys, what a totally special Christmas or New Years gift.  Who did the proposing and what day did you pick? Christmas Eve, Boxing Day or did you pick Christmas Day itself.

Now to the celebrating and planning. Eek yes the planning. There are so many sites dedicated to helping you plan, I am going to give you just one bit of advice today and one special gift:

Make sure you have fun with your journey into the wonderful world of weddings. Yes it can be hard work, stressful and even frustrating at times, but my one small piece of advice is don't sweat the small things, glide like a swan over those family 'issues' we all have and if you can keep your head when all around are loosing theirs you will be married

OK so that's the advice done... Now onto the good stuff.   THE GIFT!

I am offering three newly engaged couples the opportunity of a FREE engagement shoot with me in Manchester!! Yup that's right totally free and no need to even book me for you wedding!!

Manchester has some fantastic architecture and is a beautiful city to get married in. Laura and Alex took advantage of my free engagement shoot and we went on location down by Manchester  Canal and captured some lovely shots or other shoots have been carried out in my studio in Mossley.

Not so small small print and what to do to enter

  • tell us about your engagement (just a short paragraph)

Congratulations to Claire Morris, Caroline and Amy Young - you and your partners have won!!!! Please email me to sort out a date and time for your shoots. Remember they need to be done between now and the end of March. info@jennymartin.co.uk

Jenny Sharpe - could you get in touch with me? I don't have a contact email for you and seems a shame that didn't get a spot so I was going to offer you a sneaky additional fourth slot. But shhh don't tell anyone xx

Myself and my partner regularly walk our two pugs by the Manchester canal and think this would be a lovely place to have some pictures of us both to celebrate getting engaged after 10 years together, maybe even include the dogs as they love the camera! Would be lovely to have a professional picture that could be incorporated into our wedding invitations.

I'm originally from the Lake District so somewhere with views similar to there would me amazing (if possible!) but also something completely different/the opposite would be amazing too! I'm quite open to suggestions really - we've only lived in Manchester 18 months so don't know the area all that well yet! x

Our first date was at Java, in Uppermill.
I think it'd be a lovely setting for a photo shoot.
Just behind Java, there's the canal and tow path; Some gorgeous pics could be captured there too!
I love the rustic but cosy feel of Java, it suits us perfectly.
Between us we have 3 gorgeous daughters, who might enjoy crashing the photo shoot too

Would love my niece Olivia to be part of this fantastic competition. I've emailed details. All sat having breakfast discussing possible venues and agree manchester has a lot to offer as does the beautiful surrounding areas of Saddleworth. Looking through your pictures you can make any venue look good! fabulous!!! ❤️
